Ode to Dora.

Even if it's bath time...
There will be no objections...
And you better believe that we are watching 6 inches from the TV screen.

Target {in pictures}

This is what my shopping experience looks like.
Uh-oh.

After yelling every object he saw as loud as he could he found these...
Sweet!
Did his best to get the lid off.
Then begged me to do it. Of course, the only way to distract him from ingesting 800 cheese puffs was to ride the carousel.

Unfortunately he wasn't too thrilled that it was out of order.
Wait a minute...
Tow Trucks! Bulldozers!

Oh yeah.

Very into the steering wheel.
He calls this the "loader."

"Hey baby." He was checking out the three year old with the pig tails.
Time to go...
After he begged and begged to go back to the loaders I said, "Landon we're going to go home."

Major emotional blow. (apparently)
He was processing it.NO Mom!! I want to ride the loader.
But it's cool...I'll just eat my shoe lace.

And sing really loud.

A Garden Afternoon

I've been enjoying my garden lately. Quite a lot. The snail who took this picture was upset because I'm thinning out his forest to play in.
I'm dehydrating Kale chips. Blending up smoothies. Living the life, really.
Do you guys ever garden like this? Sometimes I just can't find the other Croc, and who has the patience for that now really... Rod made me promise I would only wear Crocs while gardening (the stay-at-home-mom in me is tempted to rock these suckers all day, they are SOOOOOO comfortable but SO u.g.l.y.). I can kind of imagine myself as an 80 year old woman rocking a church dress and some crocs on Sunday....Don't worry guys, I'll wait til I'm 80.
Isn't nature amazing? These voluptuous greens were just little seeds 2 months ago.
I'm so obsessed with my broccoli. OBSESSED.
I feel like I'm bragging.
A friendly hello to you from my favorite garden companion. Usually I glance over while I'm "harvesting" and he's shoving flower buds into his mouth. So far, they don't seem too harmful.
Once we are done in the garden, it's time to place catch.
Even if I think its time to water the roses. My boss has different orders and we must keep our deadlines or else there is hell to pay.
After our game of catch I get to watering those plants and 9 times out of 10 this is what happens to my little best friend. Soaked to his diaper.
So I grab him to snatch a little snuggle, because what idiot wouldn't want to snuggle a wet baby?
The prime minister objects.
Then I do the dishes, make dinner, and watch Oprah.

My week in pics + a little more

Most of these pics are blurry bc I don't have a normal camera right now, just a cellphone.
Random flock of turkeys in Walnut Creek. Whoever says wild turkeys don't make people happy? This was maybe the highlight of the week. Gobble, gobble. This was the low point. Read more here.
This was another, slightly milder, low point. Thankfully I caught him mid-throw with my bronzer and $42 foundation. The brush was the only casualty.
I was trying to take a pic of Rod "Droiding." We are always checking our smart phones, like a duo of losers, until the very last minute before drifting into slumber land. He clearly didn't want me to take the pic, which is why I'm posting it. :)
Blurry but still presh. He barks like a dog every time his bath is over because he gets to be a puppy.

This was a cool/horrifying/thought provoking article I read.

I finished reading this book and I HIGHLY recommend it!
